Company Profile ArticlePure horsepower and perfection was the secret to Wally’s success. Wally's Precision is still the place to purchase the best. We continue to provide master machinists, excellence, and winning products. The staff insists upon the same perfection and expectations of producing the optimum in high performance LMSC, Grand Stock, Street, Drag, Mud, Marine and Harley Davidson engines. Founder Wally Duncan - Born into a racing family. Father Walter Duncan began racing in 1949, the family tradition carried on as Wally won his first Championship in Bassett Virginia at the age of 14, Drag racing a 1937 Chevy coupe - continued racing in the southern states with a 1941 Willys. In 1977 he set the IHRA world Championship Record for the 1/4 mile with a 8.95 second run at 157.37 miles per hour in a 1951 "Rat-Powered" A/Gas Anglia "The Orange Crate". Racing has been a family affair for the Duncans, brother Rick raced motocross as a teenager and began Oval Track in 1991 and is also a machinist who owns RPM Engineering, sister Gayle participated with her husband John on their LMSC team. But they all say "mom" was to blame - she has continued for many years adding the final interior touches and upholstery for the Duncan racers.
Wally's Precision: Wally began his own high performance shop in 1979. Since that time hundreds upon hundreds of race engines have been in the Winners Circle. Some know them as "Wallygators" because they chew up the competition.
September 4, 2006 Wally passed away and is greatly missed. Well over 800 racers, gearheads, and fans showed to say goodbye. All that knew Wally miss him greatly but "the legend lives on" in family, friends and racers know that at Wally's Precision "We Do It Right!" StaffWayne Hoehns: Engine head specialist and bench flow master. 39 years experience, a drag racer and previous owner of Hoehns and Eanes which was trade specific to Busch Grand Nationals, Winston Cup and LMSC specializing in cylinder head work and flow benching. Hobbies include jet skiing, boating, hunting and fishing.
Roger Nixon: Dyno technician and engine tuning specialist. 17 years automotive experience, ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician, ASE Certified Automotive Machinist, Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Auto/Diesel Technology from Nashville Auto Diesel College (NADC), Certified from School of Automotive Machinist (SAM) Affiliations: Eagle Scout and River City Trail Runners. Hobbies include auto racing and 4 wheeling.
Randall Haynes: Master machinist and engine builder with 23 years experience specializing in Street, Drag, LMSC, Mud, Grand Stock, Marine, and Tractor Pull. "If it races, I have built it". Affiliations include OTG Racing Driver and Team Member for Brian Shaw. Hobbies include Drag racing and occasionally playing a round of golf.
Wayne Fallin: Master machinist and engine builder with 35 years experience specializing in Bush, Winston Cup, Grand Stock, LMSC, Drag, Marine, Street and Mud Bog. Hobbies include Drag racing, hunting and fishing.
Darrell Carmony: 15 years of experience, Certified Master Mechanic, and Harley Davidson Ph.D. Hobbies include riding and restoration of motorcycles and cars.
Sherri Duncan Carmony: Owner. Associate in Business Management. Hobbies include going to the races to see all the "guys" race.
Interests are animal lover, Advocate for
Autism Awareness.
